Please take a few moments to write a support letter for this very important piece of legislation.
You can read all about it here. There is a form letter and links that will help you find your representatives.
This is vital for all of us touched by CHD.

Something totally unexpected happened today while I was obviously way too distracted by my computer. Eli painted himself. I mean, really painted himself. He found a small bottle of dark brown acrylic paint (you know, the kind that instantly conforms to fabric fibers, becoming painfully permanent....) and painted himself a Hitler mustache.
That would have been really funny. But, he didn't stop there. He poured the bottle's contents onto the kitchen floor tiles. Odd how much paint those little bottles hold...
He proceeded to paint his entire body. Since he was only wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and a diaper, he was able to get quite a bit of coverage. His face was still flesh-colored, except for the Hitler mustache, but his arms, hands, legs and feet were totally and completely dark brown. Like chocolate.
My 11 year old thought it was hilariously funny. I did't think it was funny at all. I was worried about the paint on the tile, the stair bannisters, the tiny brown footprints across the living room carpet....
I grabbed him up and took him to the bathtub, cleaned up the paint mess (mumbling all the while) and order was restored to the Universe.
Now that it's over, I can't believe how funny it was.
And I can't believe I didn't stop a second to take pictures!
You'll just have to use your imagination on this one.

That's about all we could manage to say last night as we watched inches and inches of snow falling here in West Tennessee. The forecast was calling for 1 to 3 inches, then 2 to 4 inches, and so on, until the 10:00 pm newscast put us in the 6-14 inch range.
Snow amounts in our immediate area ranged from 6 inches to as much as 12 inches. We measured 10 inches pretty consistently in our neighborhood, but had drifts of over 2 1/2 FEET in places. Wow. Like I said, speechless!
Snowball fight!! Dad, Jack and Cade playing in the snow just before dark. It was still falling hard.
Cade taking a break from the snowball fight.
This was the view from the front porch this morning. Under that mound is a birdbath. Notice the difference in the snow amount in the picture of Cade above. He is standing in front of the birdbath. Wow!
Sam is trying to show just how deep the snow is by the birdbath.....in her shorts!
Eli had a blast in the snow! He kept falling into it belly-first and throwing handfulls of snow at me. (He saw Dad and Jack's snowball fight last night.)
He took a break from snowball throwing to pose for pictures with Mama.
What a fun weekend!
