Well, it's a brand new day and a brand new week! Yep, sickness still abounds, and yet I find an overwhelming urging to get back to my blog.
So....here I am.
Did you miss me????
I recently saw a quote somewhere that said something like, "I love my computer. All of my friends live there." This is so close to truth for me. I thoroughly enjoy my online friendships and have been so blessed to gain new bloggy pals over the past few weeks. I've missed reading my favorite blogs and entering all of those great giveaways!
So, I'm getting back to my Google reader and Twitter today!
With that said, let's move on to Medical Monday. October is breast cancer awareness month, so I thought I'd highlight a breast cancer blog. I am so thankful to say that I do not have personal experience with breast cancer. No one in my family has had it and no close friends. I feel the need to just thank God right here and now that I am able to write those last two sentences! So many people are touched by this disease. So many people lose loved ones to this disease...
Today's blog is called My Breast Cancer Blog and is written by Jacki Donaldson. Jacki was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in November 2004. She has shared her five year journey on her blog to raise awareness and most likely, to create a journal for personal and emotional release.
Jacki chronicles her diagnosis, her treatment, and her kids. You'll also find stories of other women fighting breast cancer sprinkled in among her posts. You'll get a feel of the community that happens when women choose to fight-together and for each other.
I learned a lot about breast cancer when I found Jacki's blog. It's important to be educated.
And this is why I wanted to share it with ya'll.

Perfect choice for this month's theme. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for writing about my blog. I am honored!

What a great idea and how generous of Jacki to share her experiences with us!
ReplyDeleteLisa, God bless you for having six babies. I can barely handle one...but the fact that she's 10 months today almost gives me an itch for another. Hmmm...
:)

ReplyDeleteAlso, appreciate your comment at my blog today. I had been wondering about the Problogger e-book for the longest time and then I just went for it. I think so far it was worth it.
